About
Anja Paixão is currently a third year photography student at Coventry University. Here, she works on her
art photography practice, wishing to one day make a living of creating art projects.
Her photography work is varied and do not have a specific style, nor subject matter to them. However, all of
Paixão’s projects are centred around herself or on subjects and themes that she cares about. This can be
considered the red thread throughout Paixão’s body of works.
Paixão’s photographic practice encompasses many different genres. This includes documentary, interview
style videos, abstract work, as well as posed portrait images. These works are shown through different
mediums, but her preferred medium is photobooks.
Paixão’s goal is to be able to create work that she cares about and that matters to her, no matter which
genre or style it will be made in. She wishes to make work that will make people reconsider parts of their
lives and the way they live, and at least help one person live a better life than before.
